Ahrefs recently added AI content features, but its core strength remains research and backlink analysis. Rankability's Copywriter is a full content creation pipeline: competitive research across Google and AI platforms → NLP entity analysis → research brief → AI draft → real-time content scoring → CMS publishing. This is the platform's core workflow, not an add-on.

AI visibility tracking

Ahrefs tracks Google rankings. Rankability tracks Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave, and up to 9 AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Claude, AI Overview, AI Mode). The SPI score gives you a unified metric that captures visibility across all platforms.

Client management and reporting

Ahrefs is primarily a research and analysis tool. Rankability adds multi-client workspaces, white-label reporting, branded keyword approval pages, and automated report delivery. These agency features are built into the platform, not bolted on.

Backlink analysis differences

Ahrefs has one of the industry's largest backlink indexes and is the standard for link prospecting, link intersect analysis, and link building workflows. Rankability's Promoter monitors your backlink profile (domain authority, referring domains, anchor text, top linked pages) but does not provide active link prospecting or the depth of Ahrefs' backlink database. If link building is a primary service, you may want to keep an Ahrefs subscription for backlink data.
