Key findings

  1. First Page Sage, Posirank, Rosemont Media tied for the widest platform coverage. Each was named by 6 of 11 platforms. Coverage is incomplete for 1 platform; the gap does not show a confirmed absence.
  2. The identified roster contains 22 agencies. They account for 58 distinct agency/platform pairs. 8 appeared on only one platform. Names without a confirmed agency identity are excluded from these totals.
  3. Meta AI supplied the longest identified shortlist: 11 agencies. 1 platform record is unavailable for comparison; see the capture limitation in this report.
  4. The citation pool contains 34 distinct pages. The most widely cited page was on posirank.com, appearing in 6 platform citation lists. A citation to a page is different from a mention of the agency that published it.

Capture limitation: Gemini did not supply a usable answer in this run. 10 of 11 configured platforms supplied usable answers. Unavailable columns show a dash, not a confirmed absence. Percentages retain the 11-platform denominator.

What the cited pages show

Across the 11 platform records, we recorded 34 distinct cited pages. The table shows the 10 cited by the most platforms, with ties ordered by URL. A page can discuss several agencies, and its publisher may not be named in the answer. Citation counts therefore do not substitute for agency coverage.

These links come from the export. Display labels use the captured titles, with URL-derived labels when a title is missing, is a placeholder, or contains an excerpt rather than a descriptive page title. The JSON and source CSV preserve the original titles. This is not an independent evaluation of every page. Pages may change or disappear after capture. A source’s inclusion does not establish that its claims are accurate.

Agency-owned roundups and mentions

For an additional check, we matched cited domains to the known agency websites in this roster. We then selected titles or URL paths that identify a “best” or “top” agency, company, firm, or consultant list. This is a title/URL classification, not a full editorial review of the pages. The table includes only matched agency-owned roundup pages; unmatched domains are not assigned an owner.

The last column counts the intersection of the two platform sets. An overlap is an association in this capture. It does not show that the roundup caused a recommendation. The downloadable JSON includes the matched URLs and platform sets.

How to evaluate an AEO partner

An agency mention cannot establish clinical or specialty expertise

Request relevant practice work and a clinician-led review process. This capture measures agency visibility for a hiring question; it does not verify qualifications, procedure knowledge, patient outcomes, or marketing performance.

Keep surgical-practice discovery distinct from general aesthetics marketing. Review these four priorities:

Evidence to request before hiring

Evidence to request before hiring
PriorityEvidence to requestOutcome to measure
Procedure and practice fitA plan for the procedures and locations the practice actually servesSuitable consultations by procedure
Surgeon identityAccurate profiles and practice-approved qualification claimsConsistent, verifiable identity information
Clinical content reviewA named clinician reviewer and correction processApproved procedure information
Consultation reportingClear definitions for requests, bookings, and attended consultationsSeparate visibility and patient-action reporting

Example client questions to track

Illustrative client questions, not prompts tested in this agency study. Replace placeholders with the client’s actual services and locations.

  • Which plastic surgeons offer [procedure] in [city]?
  • Where can I verify [surgeon]’s qualifications?
  • How can I request a [procedure] consultation with [practice]?
  • Which practices in [area] explain their consultation process?

What this means if you run an agency

For agencies serving surgical practices, keep procedure and location measurements separate from the agency-hiring benchmark. The practice should approve clinical and qualification claims.

  1. Confirm practice facts. Agree procedures, locations, surgeon details, and review ownership.
  2. Inspect published evidence. Review cited pages, clinician profiles, approved procedure information, and contact paths. Use our AI search visibility checklist to organize the review.
  3. Report the right outcomes. Preserve captures and distinguish suitable requests, booked consultations, and attendance.

Methodology

Rankability publishes this study, sells AI visibility software, and is not an agency. Inclusion does not verify an agency’s expertise, service quality, or results. Answer engine optimization (AEO) helps a business become visible in AI-generated answers.

This industry edition builds on our SaaS AEO agency research. Capture dates differ; this edition orders agencies by platform coverage because comparable agency mention positions are unavailable in this source.

Capture settings

  • Prompt: “who are the best AEO agencies for plastic surgeons”
  • Capture date: October 25, 2026 (UTC). Exact timestamps and saved-record provenance are retained in the downloadable JSON.
  • Coverage: 11 tracked-platform records, including 1 unavailable record described in the capture limitation.
  • Source: one exact October 25, 2026 Rankability Tracker run retrieved through the Rankability MCP. 10 platforms supplied usable answers out of 11 configured. English; no location configured. Original answers, extracted labels, citation URLs, provider state, and actual capture timestamps are retained in the downloads.
  • Language: the captured answers are in English. No location was configured for this broad agency-hiring prompt. Exact model versions and personalization settings are not supplied in the saved results, so we do not assume them.

Agency identification and name cleanup

We use Tracker’s detected-brand labels and sentiment records, excluding records explicitly marked as not mentioned, cross-check agency identities against official business websites, and combine known aliases. The roster includes identifiable marketing service businesses; software-only labels, individuals, client examples, and unresolved identities are excluded. We do not assume that an AI description of an agency’s expertise is true. Some provider answer text does not preserve every visible name or link; the recorded entity labels are retained with the original answer text so readers can inspect that limitation.

The review found excluded records for 13 distinct canonical names, including 6 whose agency identity was not confirmed. The excluded-entity CSV records each excluded label, platform, reason, and saved-record reference. Excluded records do not contribute to the totals. An agency can still qualify on another platform where the retained answer recommends it. The counts are therefore specific to the identified roster, not an exhaustive count of all marketing businesses that may be represented in the raw answers.

Metrics and ties

The table displays the first 16 of 22 identified agencies. If a tie crosses the cutoff, alphabetical order determines which tied names appear. The downloads include the full roster and shared coverage ranks; the visible No. column is sequential list numbering.

  • Platforms naming an agency: the number of distinct platform entity lists containing its normalized name. Repeated names and aliases within one platform count once.
  • Visibility: platform count ÷ 11 × 100, rounded to the nearest whole percent.
  • Agency/platform mentions: the sum of platform counts across the identified roster; this is not the number of repeated text mentions.
  • List number: sequential numbering in the displayed leaderboard. Equal coverage is tied; alphabetical order within a tie does not indicate better performance.
  • Rank in the downloads: descending platform coverage, with equal coverage sharing rank. Names within a tie appear alphabetically.
  • Cited pages: distinct recorded URL strings across the answer citation lists and consolidated citation records. Equivalent URLs with different strings are not silently merged.
  • Mention positions and scores: not reported. The saved export’s tracked-brand position field is not structured agency-position data. The source citation score is also not an agency score.

Editorial research update

Supplemental entity research failed because there was insufficient usable source information. This article uses the exact Tracker answer labels and separate official identity checks; no failed entity output is used to qualify agencies or add recommendations. Providers sometimes answer the AEO question with broader SEO or marketing firms. Inclusion confirms a marketing-service identity and an appearance in the retained answer, not a verified AEO service, vertical specialty, or service-quality assessment.

Limitations

This is one question, one capture date, and one record per tracked platform, including 1 unavailable record. Answers can change with time, model, settings, and user context. The study does not measure hiring suitability, customer satisfaction, lead volume, service quality, or the accuracy of every recommendation. Agency identification and alias choices affect the roster. Missing or unresolved identities can change the ranking if confirmed later. Citations and mentions describe co-occurrence; they do not establish causation.
