Edition 1 | Data captured September 30, 2026 | Next update: late October 2026
If a SaaS founder asks an AI assistant “who are the best AEO agencies for SaaS?”, which agencies get named?
We asked 11 AI platforms that exact question and recorded every agency they recommended, where each one appeared in the answer, and which web pages the AI cited to build that answer. This is the first edition. We will re-run it every month and publish who moved up, who dropped off, and who appeared for the first time.
This is not our opinion of who the best agencies are. Rankability is software, not an agency, and nobody paid to be included. This is a record of what AI currently tells buyers. Prefer to run AEO in-house? See the best AEO tools for SaaS.
Key findings
- Three agencies are tied at the top. Omniscient Digital, First Page Sage, and iPullRank were each named by 9 of 11 AI platforms. No agency was named by all 11.
- Most agencies are invisible on most platforms. 46 agencies were named at least once. 24 of them (52%) were named by only one of the 11 platforms.
- ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews are the hardest to crack. ChatGPT named only 7 agencies. Google’s AI Overview named only 4. Gemini, by contrast, named 17.
- Publishing your own “best agencies” list lines up with getting named. When an AI cited an agency’s own ranking article, it named that agency in the answer 77% of the time (24 of 31 cases).
- Reputation alone also works. iPullRank, Minuttia, Skale, and NoGood all made the top 7 without any self-published list showing up among the AI’s sources.
The leaderboard
Agencies ranked by Rankability Score, a composite of how many platforms named the agency (visibility) and how high up the answer it appeared (average position). Visibility is the share of the 11 platforms that named the agency.

Also named this month
These agencies were named by one or two platforms, usually lower in the answer:
OutreachBloom, Posirank, DerivateX, Growthner, Flow Agency, Genevate, Powered by Search, AEO Collective, SimpleTiger, Growth-onomics, Orbit Labs, RankingBite, Virayo, Quoleady, Rock The Rankings, Breaking B2B, Growth Plays, Flying Cat Marketing, Graphite, Linkflow, Focus Digital, Avenue Z, Spicy Margarita, Mint Position, Marcel Digital, Agency AEO, Blue Array, Broworks, Driven Metrics, Seer Interactive.
Two of them, OutreachBloom (DeepSeek) and Posirank (Brave AI), were ranked first by a single platform while no other platform mentioned them at all.

Even the three leaders have gaps. Omniscient Digital is missing from Google AI Overview and Copilot. First Page Sage is missing from Google AI Overview and DeepSeek. iPullRank is missing from Gemini and DeepSeek. Google AI Overview, the answer shown right on the search results page, left out two of the three leaders. If AI Overviews matter to your clients, these are the best tools for tracking Google AI Overviews.
ChatGPT was nearly as selective, naming only 7 agencies. If ChatGPT is where your buyers start, learn how ChatGPT picks sources.
What drives the rankings
Route 1: Publish the list AI reads
The AI answers are built from a small set of web pages. Across the 11 platforms, the AI cited 55 URLs from 46 domains. 35 of those 55 pages (64%) were “best AEO agencies” listicles, and many of them were written by agencies ranking the field themselves.
We matched each agency’s own list article against the platforms that cited it:
| Agency | Platforms citing its own list | Of those, platforms that named the agency |
|---|---|---|
| First Page Sage | 5 | 5 |
| Discovered Labs | 5 | 4 |
| Omniscient Digital | 3 | 3 |
| DerivateX | 3 | 1 |
| LoudFace | 2 | 2 |
| Omnius | 2 | 2 |
| Sequence Commerce | 2 | 2 |
| Optimist | 2 | 1 |
| Posirank | 2 | 1 |
| Growth-onomics | 2 | 1 |
| Animalz | 1 | 1 |
| Growthner | 1 | 1 |
| Avenue Z | 1 | 0 |
Across all agencies with a cited list of their own, the match rate was 24 of 31 (77%).
This is correlation, not proof. An agency that writes a list will usually include itself, so when AI reads that list, the author is right there to pick up. But the pattern is consistent: the platforms that read your page tend to be the platforms that name you.
It also has limits. DerivateX’s lists were cited by three platforms and it was named on only one. Avenue Z’s list was cited by Copilot and Avenue Z was named only by Grok. A list gets you into the source pool, not guaranteed into the answer.
Route 2: Be the agency everyone else lists
iPullRank was named by 9 of 11 platforms, and no iPullRank-published list appeared among the cited sources. Its visibility comes from being included on other people’s lists (one cited article even had “3. iPullRank” as the snippet the AI picked up). Minuttia, Skale, NoGood, Siege Media, and Grow and Convert also reached the top 10 without a cited list of their own.
The strongest positions combine both. Omniscient Digital and First Page Sage each have their own cited lists and appear across other agencies’ lists.
The sources AI trusted most
The highest-weighted cited pages for this question:
| Source | Type | Cited by |
|---|---|---|
| mentionbench.com: Best AEO & GEO Agencies for B2B SaaS in 2026 | Best-of list | ChatGPT |
| discoveredlabs.com: AEO Agency for B2B SaaS (service page) | Agency page | ChatGPT |
| loudface.co: Best AEO & GEO Agencies for B2B SaaS in 2026 | Best-of list | ChatGPT, Claude |
| scalerrs.co: The Best AEO Agencies in 2026 | Best-of list | ChatGPT |
| beomniscient.com: Best AEO Agency for B2B SaaS | Best-of list | Meta AI, Brave AI, AI Mode |
| firstpagesage.com: The Top B2B SaaS GEO / AEO Agencies of 2026 | Ranking page | Grok, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity |
| linkedin.com: 12 Best AEO/GEO Agencies for SaaS Companies | LinkedIn article | Copilot, Perplexity |
| glassix.com: 18 Best SEO, GEO & AEO Agencies for SaaS | Best-of list | DeepSeek, Perplexity |
A few other patterns in the source data:
- Perplexity reads the widest pool. It cited 19 of the 55 sources, more than any other platform. Copilot was second with 12.
- Reddit only mattered to Google. Three Reddit threads from r/SaaS were cited, all by Google AI Mode or AI Overview. No other platform cited Reddit for this question.
- Independent publications barely show up. Nearly every cited page was written by an agency, an AEO software vendor, or an individual on LinkedIn. The AI Journal and Contently were the only media outlets cited.
What this means if you run an agency
Your prospects are asking AI this kind of question about your category right now. The answer they get comes from a short list of pages you can see, and on most platforms, most agencies are not in it.
Three takeaways from this month’s data:
- Check each platform separately. A top-3 agency here is still missing from Google AI Overview. Ranking well on one assistant says little about the next one. Across our AI search research, no pair of AI platforms shared more than 24.1% of the pages they cited.
- Find the pages the AI is reading. For this question, 64% of the sources were best-of lists. Get onto the lists that are already being cited, or publish one that earns citations. Our AI search visibility checklist covers the rest.
- Measure it over time. A single answer is a snapshot. Positions move from day to day and month to month. That is why this report updates monthly. Here is how to track brand mentions over time.

Methodology
- Prompt: “who are the best AEO agencies for SaaS”
- Platforms (11): ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, Meta AI, Brave AI (Leo), DeepSeek
- Capture date: September 30, 2026. All 11 platforms returned an answer (100% coverage).
- Tool: Rankability Tracker. The prompt is re-run daily, and this report is published monthly.
- Visibility: the share of the 11 platforms that named the agency.
- Avg. position: the agency’s average position in the answers where it was named (1 = named first).
- Score: Rankability’s composite of visibility and position, from 0 to 100.
- Cleanup: The raw data named 65 brands. We removed 19 that were not agencies: software companies used as examples (SAP, Salesforce, Adobe, Asana, Hotjar, Loom, Webflow, Jasper, Glassix, VeriSign), companies cited as SaaS clients (NerdWallet, Credit Karma), AEO software platforms (Goodie, Atomic AGI), a marketing blog (Growth Marketing Pro), a person (Mike King, iPullRank’s founder, named once by AI Mode, where iPullRank was also named), and duplicate names (Directive Consulting, Graphite, The AEO Collective). That left 46 agencies.
- Citations: 55 cited URLs from 46 domains. Source types were classified by Rankability.
Caveats. AI answers vary from run to run. This first edition reflects one complete capture across all 11 platforms. Starting next month, the report will also show movement since the previous edition. Being named by AI is not the same as being the best agency for your company. It measures what AI tells buyers, not the quality of the work.
