A pest control customer may need an urgent treatment, a termite inspection, or an ongoing prevention plan. Those searches need different answers, and a campaign has to fit the company’s service area and technician capacity. We compared which AEO agencies 11 AI platforms named for pest control companies.

We asked 11 AI platforms the same question: “who are the best AEO agencies for pest control companies?” All 11 returned an answer on October 3, 2026 (UTC). We recorded the agency names and the pages cited, then combined aliases and separated identifiable agency businesses from software, individuals, client examples, and names we could not confirm.

Answer engine optimization (AEO) helps a business become visible in AI-generated answers. This report measures agency mentions in one capture. It does not evaluate service quality, verify claims made by the AI answers, or predict campaign results.

Rankability is software, not an agency. This is an industry edition of our SaaS AEO agency research. The two reports use different capture dates; this edition ranks by platform coverage because this export does not include structured mention positions for every agency.

Key findings

  1. DAGMAR Marketing led platform coverage. It was named by 6 of 11 platforms. No agency in the identified roster appeared in all 11.
  2. The identified roster contains 24 agencies. They account for 74 distinct agency/platform pairs. 5 appeared on only one platform. Names without a confirmed agency identity are excluded from these totals.
  3. The answers produced different-sized shortlists. Grok named 12 agencies in the roster; ChatGPT named 0. These counts describe this capture, not a platform’s overall quality or difficulty.
  4. The citation pool contains 52 distinct pages. The most widely cited page was on builtrightdigital.com, appearing in 6 platform citation lists. A citation to a page is different from a mention of the agency that published it.

Agency visibility is different from pest-control expertise

The raw answers include pest service businesses as well as marketing providers. We excluded pest operators and client examples from the agency roster. The remaining counts describe identifiable marketing businesses, not a certification of their pest-control knowledge.

Use this dated edition to compare future shortlists and platform coverage. The capture cannot establish that a recommendation reflects scarce specialist inventory, better service, or stronger campaign results. The practical next step is to request evidence relevant to your pests, locations, and business model.

The leaderboard

The first 16 agencies below are sorted by distinct platform coverage. Coverage is the number of captured platform answers naming the agency divided by 11. Equal counts share a rank and are displayed alphabetically. If a tie crosses the 16-row boundary, alphabetical order determines which tied names appear here; the full roster is linked below. This is an AI visibility comparison, not a ranking of agency capabilities.

Which platforms name which agencies

ChatGPT capture limitation: the saved ChatGPT record contains an answer and citations but no extracted agency labels. We retain it in the 11-platform denominator and report zero identifiable agencies for that record. This does not establish that ChatGPT never recommends agencies for this industry.

What the cited pages show

Across the 11 answers, we recorded 52 distinct cited pages. The table shows the 10 cited by the most platforms, with ties ordered by URL. A page can discuss several agencies, and its publisher may not be named in the answer. Citation counts therefore do not substitute for agency coverage.

View all 52 captured source URLs

These links come from the export. Display labels use the captured titles, with URL-derived labels when a title is missing or is a placeholder. The JSON and source CSV preserve the original titles. This is not an independent evaluation of every page. Pages may change or disappear after capture. A source’s inclusion does not establish that its claims are accurate.

Agency-owned roundups and mentions

For an additional check, we matched cited domains to the known agency websites in this roster. We then selected titles or URL paths that identify a “best” or “top” agency, company, firm, or consultant list. This is a title/URL classification, not a full editorial review of the pages. The table includes only matched agency-owned roundup pages; unmatched domains are not assigned an owner.

How to evaluate an AEO partner

Evaluate an agency against the services you offer and how a suitable inquiry becomes a booked visit or recurring customer. These questions help turn a visibility proposal into an operating plan.

Evidence to request before hiring

Evidence to request before hiring
PriorityEvidence to requestOutcome to measure
Pest and service specificityReviewed pages for the pests, inspections, prevention plans, and services you actually offerQualified inquiries by pest and service type
Seasonal and geographic demandA local prompt set and content plan tied to the pests and seasons relevant to your areaVisibility and booking changes by location and period
Technical and safety reviewNamed reviewers for treatment descriptions, technician information, and safety-focused FAQsAccurate, maintained customer-facing information
Route and recurring-plan fitCall and form tracking linked to service areas, technician capacity, and sold plansBooked visits and new recurring customers, reported separately

Start with the pest and the customer’s situation

A termite inspection, a rodent problem, and an ongoing prevention plan should not all lead to the same generic service page. Ask which customer questions the agency would cover and how your team will review treatment descriptions and safety information. Only describe services and qualifications the business can support.

Plan for seasonality and technician capacity

Ask how the campaign accounts for the pests relevant to the local market and for seasonal demand. Review whether the locations being promoted fit your truck routes and technician schedules. More inquiries are useful only when the company can serve the customers who contact it.

Distinguish one-time visits from recurring customers

Agree how the business will record first inquiries, booked visits, and new recurring plans. Review AI mentions and citations alongside those measures rather than counting an appearance in an answer as a customer. Have the agency show how call and form data reach the team responsible for booking.

Example client questions to track

These are example questions for a client baseline. They were not measured in the October 3 agency-hiring study. Replace the placeholders with the client’s actual services and locations.

  • Who provides termite inspections in [city]?
  • Which pest control companies handle rodents in [service area]?
  • What does an ongoing pest prevention plan include?
  • Who offers commercial pest control for property managers in [city]?
  • Which pest control companies serve [neighborhood] for [pest]?

What this means if you run an agency

For pest-control marketing agencies, the useful client asset is a baseline across specific pests, services, locations, and customer questions. Keep your agency’s hiring-prompt visibility separate from the operator’s local visibility.

  1. Group prompts by pest and service. Separate urgent problems, inspections, and prevention plans. Review the competitors and cited pages for each location before choosing content priorities.
  2. Build a reviewable service-content workflow. Have qualified client staff review service details and safety-focused answers. Our AI search visibility checklist provides a starting point for the visibility review.
  3. Report the outcomes the operator can use. Connect visibility reporting with suitable inquiries, booked visits, and recurring plans. Preserve dated captures so seasonal changes are not automatically attributed to the agency’s work.

Methodology

Capture settings

  • Prompt: “who are the best AEO agencies for pest control companies”
  • Capture date: October 3, 2026 (UTC). Exact timestamps and saved-record provenance are retained in the downloadable JSON.
  • Coverage: one recorded answer from each of 11 platforms.
  • Source: saved Rankability Tracker answers captured October 3, 2026 and retrieved through the Rankability MCP on October 6, 2026. No new scan was run for this article.
  • Language: the captured answers are in English. No location was configured for this broad agency-hiring prompt. Exact model versions and personalization settings are not supplied in the saved results, so we do not assume them.

Agency identification and name cleanup

We use Tracker’s detected-brand labels and sentiment records, excluding records explicitly marked as not mentioned, cross-check agency identities against official business websites, and combine known aliases. The roster includes identifiable marketing service businesses; software-only labels, individuals, client examples, and unresolved identities are excluded. We do not assume that an AI description of an agency’s expertise is true. Some provider answer text does not preserve every visible name or link; the recorded entity labels are retained with the original answer text so readers can inspect that limitation.

This report excludes 22 distinct canonical entity names, including 13 whose agency identity was not confirmed. The excluded-entity CSV records each excluded label, platform, reason, and saved-record reference. Excluded names are not included in the agency or mention totals. The counts are therefore specific to the identified roster, not an exhaustive count of all marketing businesses that may be represented in the raw answers.

Aliases combined in this capture:

  • Coalmarch: Coalmarch, Coalmarch Marketing.
  • RYNO Strategic Solutions: Blue Corona.
  • NEU Media Group: NEU Media Group, Neumedia Group.

Metrics and ties

  • Platforms naming an agency: the number of distinct platform entity lists containing its normalized name. Repeated names and aliases within one platform count once.
  • Visibility: platform count ÷ 11 × 100, rounded to the nearest whole percent.
  • Agency/platform mentions: the sum of platform counts across the identified roster; this is not the number of repeated text mentions.
  • Rank: descending platform coverage, with equal coverage sharing rank. Names within a tie appear alphabetically.
  • Cited pages: distinct recorded URL strings across the answer citation lists and consolidated citation records. Equivalent URLs with different strings are not silently merged.
  • Mention positions and scores: not reported. The saved export’s tracked-brand position field is not structured agency-position data. The source citation score is also not an agency score.

Editorial research update

On October 8, 2026, we used supplemental entity research collected on October 6 to refine the partner-selection questions and client examples. That research has limited topic coverage and supplies editorial context, not an independent agency qualification study. The October 3 answers, roster, counts, and cited URLs remain the measurement baseline.

Limitations

This is one question, one capture date, and one recorded answer per platform. Answers can change with time, model, settings, and user context. The study does not measure hiring suitability, customer satisfaction, lead volume, service quality, or the accuracy of every recommendation. Agency identification and alias choices affect the roster. Missing or unresolved identities can change the ranking if confirmed later. Citations and mentions describe co-occurrence; they do not establish causation.
